Please allow us to send you this email to remind you that you are cordially invited to participate in the 9th International Product Lifecycle Management Conference, PLM12, on July 9th - 11th, 2012 in Montreal, Canada.

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is an integrated business approach to the collaborative creation, management and dissemination of engineering data throughout the extended enterprises that create, manufacture and operate engineered products and systems.

PLM12 will bring together researchers, developers, and users of PLM so as to share recent developments, shape the future of this field and advance the science and practice of enterprise systems development.

Contributions are welcome in all aspects of PLM including, for example :

• The influence of social networks on PLM,

• PLM maturity and improvement concepts,

• Collaborative product development,

• Capture and reuse of product and process information,

• Knowledge management and PLM,

• Interoperability and security issues,

• PLM educational and training approaches,

• SPECIAL SESSION S1 : Increasing awareness and understanding of information and knowledge flows in PLM

• SPECIAL SESSION S2 : From PLM to Life Cycle Engineering (LCE)

_Venue_

As Canada’s first touristic destination, Montreal distinguishes itself by its hospitality and infrastructure. Situated on an island, the city of Greater Montreal counts approximately 3.6 million people making it the largest bilingual (English and French) metropolis in North America. Designated as the City of Design by UNESCO, it offers a large showcase of modern design, art and architecture. Montreal’s summers are warm with average high temperatures of 26 °C (79 F) and low of 16 °C (61 F).

_Paper Submission_

Authors are invited to submit original papers of up to 10 pages in length for review before February 5^th , 2012. Each paper (in English) will be reviewed by three members of the International Scientific Committee. Those that are accepted will be published by Springer in the conference proceedings and may be considered for publication in the International Journal of Product Lifecycle Management (IJPLM, www.inderscience.com/ijplm). Submission instructions are provided on the PLM12 website : www.plm-conference.org. Industry presentations are also welcome, these do not require full paper submission.
