Shape Modeling International (SMI) -21 au 23 Juin 2010 organisée par l’ENSAM d’Aix-en-Provence et le LSIS Saturday 30 January 2010 , Sandrine Beaujon Shape Modeling International (SMI) provides an international forum for the dissemination of new mathematical theories and computational techniques for modeling, simulating and processing digital representations of shapes and their properties to a community of researchers, developers, students, and practitioners across a wide range of fields. For the second year, selected full-length submissions (10-12 pages) will be published as journal papers in issue 34(3) of Computers & Graphics (Elsevier). In addition, extended abstracts (4-5 pages) will also be considered and published in the conference proceedings together with the remaining full papers. All submissions will be handled via the Elsevier EES system following a two-stage peer review cycle. SMI’10 is organized by the Arts et Métiers ParisTech and the Laboratory of Information and Systems Sciences (LSIS). It will be held at Arts et Métiers ParisTech in Aix-en-Provence, south of France. For overseas travelers, it might be interesting to combine SMI’10 with the Curves and Surfaces conference in Avignon (June 24-30, 2010) and the Symposium on Geometry Processing in Lyon (June 5-7, 2010) which makes it possible to combine those events in one trip.
