In my previous mail I have reported on the forthcoming 2 days International Conference, AMT’09 (Advanced Model Measurement Technology for EU Maritime Industry) which will be held in 1-2 September 2009 in Nantes, France.
So far the response has been very good. AMT’09 will be a 2 days conference with 38 technical presentations which represents an opportunity for industry and test facilities, for researchers and academics to learn more about Europe’s experimental research capabilities for maritime constructions. The attached brochure gives you the detailed information about the conference (including the list of titles of papers and authors , conference information, location and hotels, registration).
The conference themes are : PIV operation in hydrodynamic experimental facilities ; Flow data analysis and visualization ; 3-D wave field measurements ; Podded Propulsors/Dynamic forces ; Wireless data transmission ; High speed video ; Intelligent materials and production methods ; Wetted surface ; Free running model technologies ; Other advanced measurement techniques ; benchmarking and validation.
AMT’09 ( http://www.amt09.eu) is being organised by the members of EU-FP6 Network of Excellence (NoE) called HTA (Hydro Testing Alliance ), which includes major European Experimental Facilities and Universities in Maritime field, as described in http://www.hta-noe.eu/ . The conference will provide a platform to share our knowledge on the HTA activities as well as to learn from external participants working in the field of advanced model measurement technologies. There will be some networking activity for marine equipment manufacturers in the conference.
We hope that AMT’09 is of interest to you, and that you will participate in sharing our knowledge in the AMT’09 conference.
